4M All Riders Newsletter: June 2021

Welcome back to the All Riders monthly newsletter brought to you straight from the Matt Cave!

This is "4M: The Matt Cave Moto Monthly Mailer".

So here we are in June of 2021. The summer is upon us, and baby it is heating up here in sunny Florida.

We had an excellent May topped off with a very successful Memorial Day Ride hosted and lead by All Riders "Route Master" Chuck 'Magnum" Boehm. Chuck did an excellent job planning the route and the whole day, delivering a somber and emotive address at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. If you have not already, when you see him, give Chuck a big pat on the back for a job well done.

The All RIders Giveaway:

June first brought us the conclusion of the first All Riders Giveaway. We are crazy enough around here to have given away a $100 gift card to the lucky Giveaway winner... Angel Gonzalez got to choose from several motorcycle-related gift card options. He chose a $100 gift card to Revzilla. Congrats to you, good buddy... word on the street is that you might be getting some new riding boots!

Although I have not made it through the editing process yet, and lord knows Bill gives me plenty to edit, never fear. The sequel to the extremely popular, "mince-no-words", motorcycle product review extravaganza: Barracuda Bill Breaks it Down will arrive expeditiously. Keep an eye out for Barracuda Bill Breaks it Down Episode 2 coming at you via Youtube and your inbox (if you subscribe below) .

EDIT: On 6/4/21 I edited this newsletter to upload and present Barracuda Bill Breaks it Down: Episode 2 "$90 Headache". Check out the "Cuda" with a cameo by Tyrannosaurus Rex Ramieri.

In other news, if you've been living under a rock, my 2021 Kawasaki Ninja H2 finally arrived! Oh boy, am I excited. After seven long informationless months waiting with baited breath, now the girl has finally been bestowed upon me. Now it is break-in period that I get to complain about, but soon June will be full of H2 Zoom-Zoom!

I've ridden my share of fast bikes, and I have even done some short rides on fully-faired sport bikes, but I have to admit that this thing is a challenge for my out-of-shape, forty-four-year-old, post motorcycle accident Dad bod.

Alas, it is back to District Hot Yoga to whip my Pilsbury "Dough-ness" into something that can stand more than a twenty minute stint on this beautiful "Iron Maiden" Medieval torture device.

More then just a rock band from the 80's: The Iron Maiden was a torture device, consisting of a solid iron cabinet with a hinged front and spike-covered interior, sufficiently tall to enclose a human being. The first stories citing the iron maiden were composed in the 19th century. See the link above for more information.

My gorgeous 2021 Kawasaki Ninja H2 makes me feel like I am being crushed by spikes in traffic with all of my weight on my palms, wrists, and shoulders. Muscles cry out in agony as if being subjected to cruel and unusual torture in order to extract some kind of proof of clandestine activity, or admission of guilt of something beyond redemption. Once the things gets moving out of traffic though, it's a ton of fun. Lol.

There is only one major ride planned for June, one that I would typically lead: The 4th Annual Father's Day Ride. This is a really nice route from Deland to Renegades on the River in Crescent City.

The 4th Annual Father's Day Ride: 6/19/21. Details on the Calendar page.

Chuck Boehm will be leading in my stead this year. I will be heading to Atlanta for the 2021 H2 Owner's Meet. I was actually tasked with creating the graphic design for the promotional materials and t-shirts, even getting "theAllriders.com" listed on the back of the shirt in the sponsors' listing. The meet is being hosted in part by 650ib the Youtube Moto-personality, so I am hoping to be able to get some good exposure for All Riders in the process.

Also Happening in the month of June:

1) First Fridays Bike Night: First Fridays returns on Friday, 6/4/21 with a reprise (by popular demand) of the Tomoka Brewing Co. location.

4) Third Thursday Bike Night: Thursday, June 17h. As always, Third Thursdays Bike Night will be at Abbey Bar & Odd Elixir downtown Deland. Amazing staff, great beer, wine, mead, and some finger food to boot. We start at 7:00 pm.

You also get 10% off of your entire bill with your current ARMD membership card.

Check out Abbey Bar:

3) Dan's Full Moon Ride: The original All Riders night ride. This month's ride will be Friday, 6/25.

Details will be on the calendar page and Facebook event post.

RAFFLES! We have two amazing raffles going through June. We are simultaneously raffling off a Cardo Systems Packtalk Bold with JBL Speakers and a Viking Bags Axe Series Backpack with a Bugslide Cleaning Kit inside!

The Cardo Packtalk Bold was featured in Carl Barrett Jr.'s article: Communication is Key. Adventures in Helmet Audio.

The Viking Bags Axe Series Backpack was featured in the review: Battle of the Bags, by yours truly.

You can buy tickets at any of our rides or events, but better yet, why not buy them now?! What? I can do that??? Yeah, Boi, you certainly can! You can click on the links above, or you can click the RafflePay banner below:

Since I will not be leading the 4th Annual Father's Day Ride on 6/19/21, I will draw the winners of the raffles on 6/21/20. That means that the Father's Day Ride is your last chance to buy tickets for those raffle in person.
