Reviews

Within, we take the opportunity to examine and asses part and parcel of that which makes our moto-world a better place... or not so much.

Yo will find comparison write ups, product reviews, videos and more.  All relative to that which makes our two (or three) wheels turn.

Japan has unequivocally changed motorcycling. Since the first bikes rolled out in Japan from the NMC plant in 1909 (albeit utilizing a Triumph frame), the Japanese have been at the bleeding edge of two wheeled performance and design. We have compiled a list of the most iconic Japanese bikes of the modern era (90s onwards). This list it by no means comprehensive, feel free to comment on bikes you think deserve a place.

7th Place...

My daughter is only two and a half years old and like any proud father I try to encourage her to to share some of my interests, chief amongst these is motorcycling. Here are 6 ways I have been able to share my love of bikes with her.

1) Doing things as a family – your young one may be too young to ride on the back of the bike, but you can still go to bike events together as a whole family – buy matching shirts! If you haven’t b...

Just below the very southern expanse of Tokyo It takes about an hour and a half by train to reach Atsugi from the city centre. In stark contrast to neon filled streets and anonymous crowds, walking amongst the farmland reveals a more relaxed Japan. Edging towards the headquarters of international motorcycle modification and parts powerhouse, Motocorse (MC), it’s easy to imagine a large factory where all sorts of milling / carb...

Manila is one of the world’s most populous cities; official counts put the population at 22,000,000 whereas unofficially, 50,000,000 is the number being thrown around. Traffic crawls; on a typical main street, 10kph (6mph) is a good pace, whilst at peak hour you will achieve half that. It makes sense then, that motorcycles are the answer to a speedy commute. A few weeks ago I got to spend some time with Michael Eijansantos fro...

Fancy Frontier is Taiwan’s premier anime (Japanese animation) and cosplay expo. Four times a year National Taipei University’s stadium fills with thousands of fans, come to shop at the hundreds of vendors on display, but mostly to rub shoulders with, and take photos of the cosplay stars.

Tucked away in a quiet corner of the stadium carpark is a small collection of motorbikes and scooters (with a few cars thrown in for flavor)....

The Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand’s North Island has some of the most exciting motorcycling conditions in the country (and if you’ve ever been to New Zealand, you’ll realise that’s a big claim); coupled with stunning views, the area is a must-go spot for New Zealand riders.

Unfortunately, although popular, the roads are dangerous – the NZTA (New Zealand Transport Agency) reported that although motorcycles compose 1-3% of...

Taiwan is a county of 24 million people with a landmass a fifth the size of Florida. It is here, in the busy metropolis of Taipei, down an industrial alleyway that onehandmade is churning out some of the most innovative custom builds not only in Taiwan, but on the world stage.

One could be forgiven for thinking that given its sizeable population and reliance on two wheeled transport, that in Taiwan, the motorcycle modification...

Harley-Davidson V-ROD Muscle (VRSC-F) and 2013 Ducati Diavel Dark Stealth

My first comments would be to stop comparing these bikes. They are about as similar as a rock song from the eighties to an upbeat classical movement. Instead of reading reviews on the bikes, simply go test ride them to have an understanding of the difference. If it does not become immediately apparent to you which style of riding is right for you, then...
